Adam Doll – Co-Director
Adam is the former Head Boys and Girls Mankato West Tennis Coach. He is a graduate of St. James High School. He was a six-year letter winner for boy’s tennis and a state singles participant his senior year. Adam played four years of college tennis at Minnesota State University, Mankato. During this time he began his coaching career as an assistant at St. James high school for 4 years, where he was fortunate enough to see the team make a trip to state in 3 of the 4 years. Starting in 2010 Adam began coaching boys/girls varsity team at West, and two years in Adam was awarded 2012 Girls Section 2AA coach of the year! Adam assisted/ran community education tennis programs in St. James for 7 years, and enjoys co-directing the Mankato summer tennis programs with his wife Sarah. Adam is currently a teacher within ISD77, serves on GMCTA board, and liason for Caswell’s Indoor sports complex. After 19 seasons Adam took a ‘sabbatical’ from coaching High School sports to be with his family and help ensure an indoor tennis complex is built in the area as soon as possible.

Sarah Doll -Co-Director
Sarah is a 2004 St. James High School graduate. She was a three-year letter winner, one time doubles individual state participant, and one-time team state participant while at St. James. She went on to play 4 years of college tennis at Minnesota State University, Mankato. While in college, Sarah coached for four years in St. James with three of those teams making state tournament appearances. She has 14 seasons of high school coaching experience and 20 summers spent coaching! Sarah was voted STATE Assistant AA Coach of the Year while coaching at Mankato West HS! Josh Prahl (Co-Head Mankato East’s Boys Coach)
We are thrilled to introduce our newest team member, Josh! He’s currently serving as a Co-Head Coach for Mankato East’s boys tennis team. Josh graduated from Litchfield High School, where he was a six year letter winner and participated in the state tournament four times in singles, doubles, and team competitions. Josh’s love for tennis led him to coaching, where he began as an assistant coach at Litchfield High School in 2018. There, he helped the team earn an impressive 4th place finish at the state tournament. In the spring of 2022, Josh returned to coaching tennis as an assistant at Mankato East, where he worked closely with the junior high team. On top of his athletic achievements, Josh also has an impressive academic background. He graduated from

Sailor Mohlenbrock (Bethany College Player & LEAD Tennis In Parks Instructor)
Sailor currently plays tennis at the number one singles and doubles spot for Bethany Lutheran College. She graduated from Saint James High School where she played both doubles and singles over three years and placed third in the individual section tournament her senior year. She is a sophomore at Bethany and majoring in math education. Her freshman year of college, she was an assistant coach for the Saint James girl’s tennis team where they were team state participants. Macy Weller (Buena Vista College Player & Assistant Tennis in Parks Coach)
Hi, my name is Macy Weller. I grew up in the Mankato/St. Peter area and attended St. Peter High School. I’ve played tennis since 7th grade and have been on varsity since 9th grade. I lettered all 4 years of high school and earned all conference my junior and senior year. Along with that, I also earned academic all-state my senior year. I moved on to play college tennis at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. I currently play at number 1 singles and doubles. I’m also working towards a Sports Business and Finance degree while I’m here.

Jeff Thomae (MSU Women’s Head Tennis Coach/West Girl’s Head Coach&Boy’s JV/)
Jeff is the current Head Coach for the MSU Women’s Tennis Team, completing his first season and leading the Mavs to their best season since 2009, finishing 2nd in the NSIC. In addition, he is the Head Coach of the Mankato West Girls and Assistant Coach for the Mankato West Boys team. During the summer, you’ll find Jeff on Mankato area tennis courts a lot, leading Tennis in the Parks instruction, assisting with Junior Team Tennis, or giving private lessons. Jeff brings a background in both Counseling and Sport & Performance Psychology to his approach to coaching tennis and helping athletes achieve their goals. Patrick Clark (Youth Mental Health Navigator at Mankato Area Public Schools/Former GAC DIII Player/Coach)
This is Patrick Clark’s third summer working for TennisInMankato! Patrick played tennis at Gustavus Adolphus College from 2009-2012. He has since been an assistant coach at Gustavus, Elmhurst College, and Mankato East High School. Patrick has been teaching tennis since 2004 and enjoys giving private lessons to youth when not teaching groups.
